The app is awesome. The only drawback is that define function shows results from wikipedia. Not from iOSs own dictionary. It makes it impossible to find some words.
Promising tool but please add more annotation options also for non-searchable pdf files cannot jump to a specific page would be great to see my annotations in a separate panel.
This is a useful app for academicians. I guess the app should improve its tools and citation should be easier than it has.
This app is sooooo awsome
all references are at one place and sync also meta info is automatically created; wonderful
I have just started to use the ipad app of the last version of Mendeley. Some important drawbacks are as follows: - It is impossible to add the pdf of a document to a group. It gives an error. - One cannot setup a group Fortunately comments can be added :)
I have just downloaded the app and found it simple to use. Thats great!
its a great tool, I use if to keep my PDF readings across desktop and iPad... Would be 5 star, if it would allow to make notes and highligts on PDF text also on iPad and sync them across platforms.
The overall fell of the app is good. However, the UI could be improved to conform with the modern UI/UX styles, e.g. by moving the settings menu to a dedicated button bar.
Good companion app. The note-taking future still needs some work because highlighting and noting isnt convenient.
- no way of sorting articles in a folder by last read - highlights and comments get deleted or copied - frequently breaks while uploading a new document - slow performance probably still better than accessing via the browser, but thats about it.
Nice tool to organize your scientific library. It is cross-platform and synchronizes your library over the internet. Unfortunately iOS version is buggy: iPad 2 syncing problem at startup - crashes. It would be great to have an ability to hide article list in landscape mode for more covenient reading.
The app perfectly syncs with mendeley desktop, allows to download and highlight your papers as in desktop version. The only thing missing is non-English input in search field. I.e. you cant search for Russian or Japanese papers or authors.
Open document - full screen - select page (small pages). After this actions the top border stops hiding (so, there is no full screen until restart)
This program is very useful
the best one
Good job with this update but theres a line in front of the text in the reading mode.
The best free app I know. Used in combination with the version for PC or Mac is the best friend of any researcher and scientist. You can access your papers anywhere. The Pc version automatically recognize any paper immediately after you downoad it and save it on your pc, with the plugin for firefox you can add the paper directly from the web with a click. It changed my life!
It would be a great app but this version with iOS5 it is simply useless since it always crashes while syncing with the server. Waiting for a new version...
